Without parent volunteers, we simply can't operate our programs.

We are planning an End of Year Pot Luck Picnic at Lake Crabtree Park (White Oak Shelter) on Saturday June 1 from 11AM to 2PM.  Bring your frisbee, soccer ball or whatever and join us to celebrate the end of a great year for the Enloe Band members.

We were excited to hear the many talented rising 9th graders during auditions. You are going to make great members of our classroom, jazz and marching band programs. Mr. Hunter has started making calls to let you know where you will be placed for next year in the various bands, but there are a lot of you so it takes a while.

Brassmas is Friday December 14th.  Brassmas is a community event for brass players of all ages.  After a short rehearsal, the massed ensemble will play carols in front of the Progress Energy Center, preceding the Carolina Ballet’s Nutcracker and the Triangle Brass Band’s Holiday Concert.  The rehearsal will be on the stage in Fletcher Hall.  http://www.trianglebrass.org/brassmas/

In Memory of a Great Friend to Our Band Program

Our dear friend and long-time band dad David Hockenberger suffered a massive heart-attack on Friday.  David was father of Evan & Kaitlyn, both of whom were in the band.  His wife Beverly was our nurse for many years, and also served funnel cake to our kids and parents on special occasions.

VETERANS DAY PARADE FOR ALL BAND STUDENTS

All band students are invited and strongly encouraged to march in our annual Veterans’ Day parade on Saturday November 10^th.  

We will hold two rehearsals after school where we will measure students for uniforms and cover the basics of marching and playing at the same time. 

Below you will find our itinerary for the day as well as our rehearsal schedule.

Rehearsal #1    Monday November 5 (3-5PM)

Rehearsal #2    Thursday November 8 (3-5PM)          

Performance:   Saturday November 10

Middle School Night - Marching Band

On Friday September 21^st (an early release day) the Enloe Marching Band will host band students (and their parents) from Martin, Ligon & Carnage.  The students are invited to perform our pre-game show and bleacher music with the Enloe Band!
