For over 40 years, our marching band has earned top honors from local, regional, and national competitions. From Bands of America (BOA) Regional Finals to sweeping state-level championships, our students have consistently demonstrated discipline, artistry, and teamwork.

2000s–2010s – Expanding Horizons

  • Recognition for music excellence, marching precision, and auxiliary units across regional competitions

1990s – A Decade of Dominance

  • 1995–1999: Outstanding Woodwinds at Fiesta-Val Atlanta; multiple 1st Place wins in Guard, Percussion, and Drum Major; runner-up finishes at Tar Heel Invitational and Clinton Band Festival

  • 1994: Landmark year – Grand Champion at Gold Sweepstakes; 1st Place Band at Fuquay-Varina Festival of Bands; National appearance at University of Missouri–St. Louis Gateway Festival (2nd Place)

  • 1990–1993: Consistent First Place awards in Visual Units, Drum Line, Horn Line, Silks, and Rifle Line; Band of the Day honors; Tar Heel Invitational Champion (1993)

1980s – Rising Stars

  • 1986–1989: Superior and Excellent ratings; multiple 1st Place wins in Percussion Line, Drum Major, Majorettes, and Horn Line across NC festivals
