Percussion: The Heartbeat of the Band

Our percussionists are the heartbeat of the Enloe Eagle Marching Band, driving the energy and keeping the rhythm alive.

The percussion section is split into two dynamic groups:

  • Front Ensemble (Front Line): non-marching instruments like marimba, vibraphone, chimes, timpani—and sometimes surprising additions like brake drums!

  • Battery: marching snares, tenors, and bass drums that fuel the beat across the field.

During band camp, percussionists work with dedicated instructors to develop technique, endurance, and precision, often being the first on the field and the last to leave, setting the standard for the entire band.

After marching season, percussionists can continue their musical journey by joining Indoor Percussion, a competitive program that performs and competes indoors in the early spring.
